The foundation of our precious Christian faith is God’s holy, precious and inspired Word. For us, the Word of God is the sole source of all that we believe, teach and confess. Because they are based on God’s Word, we also hold to the Lutheran confessional statements as found in “The Book of Concord” of 1580. We accept the Book of Concord as a faithful presentation of the teachings of the Bible.
In confirmation class and adult instruction, our focus is on one of the books contained in the Book of Concord, namely, Luther’s Small Catechism and its six chief parts: The Ten Commandments, the Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, Confession and Absolution and the Sacrament of the Altar.
